The State Attorney General is the lawyer and legal advisor of the Federal Government of Somalia, not a prosecutor. The Office advises government, represents it in court, and publishes the Official Bulletin.

The Office

OSAG is an independent institution under Article 114 of the Federal Constitution, established by Law No. 18 of 29 January 1976. It is the government’s lawyer and legal advisor.
